I Stepped In It!
(First, thank you to every single one of you who left a comment concerning my testimony...I am blessed...and I know it!)
So, let me start off by telling you a somewhat funny story! Two nights ago I was talking to my sister that lives in Nashville on the phone. I was in our living room/ dining room walking around. It's one of those things I do when talking on my phone at home, I pace. I also feel the need to mention that I was pacing in the dark! It is also important to note that my Mother has accumulated many rugs to cover up our beautiful hardwood floors. Anyhew! I was walking around and "SQUISH!" I stepped in it! Oh yes folks, Dog Poo! I screamed, my sister laughed, my dog got in trouble, it stunk, I wimpered and went and washed my feet!
Now, it is also important to note that my dog is not a puppy! He is up in his years, in fact we often call him old man, and he is very potty trained. However, my Mother has been away for two weeks dealing with family matters, and he has been somewhat defiant! He wants to come upstairs and sleep with us, which is something we don't allow, and somewhere in the wee hours of the morning he feels the need to let us know about his unhappiness at not getting what he wants.
Yesterday, I woke up went into the dining room to get some breakfast and a horrific smell reached my nose. Now, I thought it might have been the excrament in the yet to be taken out trash, but it was far to "rosy" for my little brain to comprehend how that could be. In my hunt I discovered yet another small pile of displeasure! The old man got in trouble again, and once again I was on my hands and knees picking up...crap!
This got me to thinking, for as soon as it happened I began to think how can I share this with my blog family (I just love you guys that much to share these important issues with you!) Well, due to some circumstances that have occured over this week and weekend God struck me with this truth. How many times when I don't get my way do I lash out at Him and make my own mess of things. Leaving little piles of stinking waste around. Also, how many times does another Christian or non-Christian come along and step in the crap I've made. I mean honestly my own rebellion doesn't just effect me. I wonder how many times someone else has had to scrape my crap off the bottom of their foot. I also wonder how many times the Lord has had to come behind me and pick up my mess...and you know what, there is always a stain left on the carpet. The stain is not to remind us how bad we are, but to remind us that someone loved us enough to pick up our crap and carry it to the garabage and dispose of it.
Just wanted to share that with everyone!

I also enjoyed reading your testimony below. It is always exciting to hear how God calls His own to Himself! Bless you....
I am to comtenplate what little messes I have left around for others and who might be affected by them.
Thanks, Melissa
