Up to Here!

You know how you say that your are "Fed up to here!" What exactly does that mean? What is here? and how are fed up to it!...I'm not sure, but I've been drifting in the fog of my life as of late. I haven't been in the word and I have been feeling that my faith is far more contingent upon me, when it really isn't contingent upon me at all. Well, I just laid this all out at the feet of God one day, just almost screaming in my journal writing...what's the point, what's the purpose, here I am in the same space I've found myself a million times before, and well I open my Devotional to the next entry and here is the verse that popped out at me...

"For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." - Philippians 1:6

Knock me over with a feather...

I had breakfast this morning with Kat and we just had an awesome time. God is working in her life...I mean the hand of Providence is manifesting itself. She truly is a "Reflection of Providence"...God knew I needed to hear what she had to say today. It was a wonderful time of fellowship...one of our main themes was that our salvation is not about us its about Him. He doesn't do things for us because we are good, He provides and gives to us because He loves us. End of discussion! He is so Big and so Good and worthy of all honor and praise...

God's purpose is not to destroy us, but to restore us. The enemy is the destroyer, but God has promised to restore the things the enemy has taken from our lives. God is building His kingdom within you - a kingdom of joy, love, peace, and right relationships. - Roy Lessin

"The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast." - 1 Peter 5:10

Kat also directed me to James 1, which is well worth its read and I will be visiting it again.

Take care, love you all and will try to get to all your blogs this coming week!

Girl, when did you get back?

James is a powerful book.

And I think 'fed up to hear' has something to do with having too much, being overstuffed, being beyond one's limit. (Per the Carol Dictionary.)

Actually, that should have been 'fed up to here." :-)
