Christmas Spirit! (A Christmas Bonus!)
These past few days have been really excellent for me. I have had a lot of Christmas JOY! Last night I went to see “The Nativity” with my Mom. IT IS SOOOOO GOOD! You all should go see it. I totally wasn’t in the frame of mind to really watch it so I said a little prayer before I went in. I left crying my eyes out thanking God for what He did. It is just really beautiful and simply done. The characters are rich and full. It is a soft movie, a beautiful movie, almost looks like a moving painting. I loved the music. They mixed some traditional carols to the score. The only thing I missed was the Herald of Angels proclaiming His birth, and I would have liked to have seen Simeon see Him, other than that a flawless and breathtaking film. It really got me into the Christmas mood! It is definitely going to be a classic in my house.
My kids were simply beautiful this Thursday and I got to love on them. I can’t wait until Tuesday…we are throwing them a Birthday Party for Jesus on Tuesday and I just can’t wait to LOVE on my kids some more. I have to say how grateful I am to God for sending me this job. You know I’m poor, don’t have health insurance, and am still living at home, but I delight at going to work everyday. By the worlds standards I’m a failure, but I truly feel for the first time in my LIFE that I’m giving back, that I’m doing exactly what God wants. I’m still a little leery of what the future holds, but He is daily teaching me to lean on Him. What a glorious Savior we serve. I wish the world could really really REALLY know Him this season.
I went to the doctor today, even without insurance. I just can’t shake whatever it is I’ve got and I finally got sick of being sick and decided to take charge. I’m pretty sure I have had walking pneumonia. I got home and rested a little while and decided to go for a walk this evening in our unusually warm weather. It was GLORIOUS!!! Many of the houses had their lights on and I was listening to DYSWIS and just drinking it all in. I crested the top of the hill, and wouldn’t you know it…God was showing off. He put all those twinkling lights to shame as He lit the sky with deep pinks, reds, and peaches. It was breathtaking. My heart almost couldn’t take it all in. WHAT AN AMAZING SAVIOR WE SERVE! I LOVE HIM! I LOVE HIM! I LOVE HIM!
Christmas has been such a blessing to me. This Sunday night will be the Children’s play at church so I will be spending most of my day tomorrow at the church rehearsing with them. It will be hard but worth it in the end. I plan to bake most of the weekend for various parties I’m having. Baking is one of my most favorite things to do. I can’t wait to get in their, put a little Christmas music on, and enjoy myself.
Love to you all…and a very Merry Christmas!

1 Then Hannah prayed and said:
"My heart rejoices in the LORD;
in the LORD my horn is lifted high.
My mouth boasts over my enemies,
for I delight in your deliverance.
2 "There is no one holy like the LORD;
there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God.
3 "Do not keep talking so proudly
3 "Do not keep talking so proudly
or let your mouth speak such arrogance,
for the LORD is a God who knows,
and by him deeds are weighed.
