Mememememeeee...

...I'm tuning up my Meme cords. Ha! Ha!

I haven't done something fun like this on my blog in a good long while, so thanks to Claire from Pilot Mom I am going to get to enjoy some fun...

Here are the rules: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. You need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they have been tagged and to read your blog!

Here goes...

1. One of my favorite, still is, holiday's as a child was Halloween. One of my most favorite things to do was to create a Haunted House upstairs in our home and have family and friends go through it. I mean this was serious stuff, and we had a great upstairs for it. I usually had some jars of blood (food coloring and corn syrup), a bowl of eyeballs (peeled grapes), things to crawl through, etc... One of the big things I would do is create clues, those going through the Haunted House would have to hunt for clues and usually get a pretty cool prize of candy at the end...if they made it...MWHAHAHAAA!

2. In the 2nd or 3rd grade I entered a cake coloring contest and won the first place prize and $50.00. And yes I said coloring contest...as coloring a cake on paper!

3. MY MOST favorite show in the whole widest world is Little House on the Prairie...it has given me a great love of the West and cause me to romanticize the old west. I have to watch them over and over and over again. I used to watch them on cable, and when they quit showing them for awhile, I actually spent a week depressed and crying over it. Now, I own all the seasons on DVD and can just watch them whenever I please.

4. I got to meet my hero, Melissa Gilbert, nearly 3 years ago right here in Lexington, KY. It was an absolute dream come true. I spent the morning thinking I would be sick, and the afternoon when she spoke crying...I sat with a lovely group of people and they all encouraged me. I was also the first in line to get her autograph. It was a dream come true. Something I will never forget.

5. I grew up in Rome, GA, went to West End Elementary, and graduated highschool from Model High School. We moved to KY almost 10 years ago when my Dad found better work. KY is where I have had the most growth in my faith.

6. I have natural curly hair which is such a blessing now. I used to hate it and it was the cause of so much teasing, but now I LOVE it and wouldn't want it any other way. My pale skin was also a source of teasing for me, but you know I LOVE MY ALASKAN TAN!

7. I took ballet when I was in preschool and secretly always wished I had kept it up...

I know mine is not as fun or interesting as some others. I also want to point out that I will not be asking anyone to do this meme, please feel free if you wish too and just post a comment letting me know you did so I can read it. I love you all, you fill my cups, and I'm so thankful to have each of you in my life!

Not fun or interesting? Really? Get a life, Melissa! You are extremely interesting...you know you are, otherwise that would mean that I am terribly boring. Catch my drift?!

I did take ballet until I was 18. So there is something else we have in common.

And my faith "growth spurt" took off after I moved too. To Utah.

Thanks for being such a great sport and participating in it. I appreciate it greatly!
