A Quick Note

Hello Everyone! I am sitting in my office not feeling like doing much work so I thought I would blog a little entry. I hope all of you are doing well this New Year's Eve. As I was having my quiet time this morning at work (yes I have quiet times at work because I cannot manage to get up early enough to do them at home) I was sitting over in the cafe and looking out at the dark sky. I was journaling praising God for this new day and here is what I wrote..."I praise you for this marvelous day. While it is the beginning of a day full of promise and opportunity it is also the ending of a year. The closing of the past and the promise and hope for what lies ahead for the future. I want it to be special, maybe I am trying to make it more special than it should be. I don't know. I just want it to be what You would have it to be. I pray that your hand will be on this day, and at the small of my back. I know that I promise every year this and that will be different. I resolve this y...

And Later That Day

I thought I would give you more than one entry to enjoy when reading this. I am just having fun playing. I have two poems I wrote while in college posted on the Writer's Corner so feel free to check that out. Being back at work this week from Christmas vacation has been somewhat tedious, but nice to have plenty of things to occupy my day. There are many things that we are planning to make my job easier and get more employees involved. I have created a newsletter called the Weekly Times to let the staff know in detail what events are going to be coming up that week, and we have just formed a 2005 Community Relations Panel to brainstorm and come up with creative ideas and events for the store. I have been working on these many aspects while at work and it has kept me very busy. Today, however, I was asked to pick up a book from a former pastor at Southland Christian Church. I had heard things about the magnitude of this church, but I had never actually seen it with my own eye...

My First Delicious Entry

I am so excited about this whole blogging thing. I am not completely sure of what I am doing, but I am very ready for what lies ahead. I think this to be an absolutely wonderful opportunity to share my thoughts and ideas with the people I love and with others. You all know how much I love to write and now I have a format to do just that. I hope that you will find this blog and my Writer's Corner blog interesting and exciting. As soon as I figure out how I plan to create a link to my Writer's Corner blog on this blog. I took an Internet programming class many moons ago and while the programming looks familiar, I am somewhat lost in the language. Anyway I'm rambling which is nothing unusual. I promise many more wonderful things to come on both blogs. Thank you for tuning in and I hope you drink up the fun.
